Babbington Park

Annie and Susan have been the custodians of Babbington Park since March 2017. Babbington Park is a portion of what used to be a productive farm with organic certification some years ago. From the very first week, Annie, Susan and their small team of dedicated helpers have been creating a large fruit and vegetable garden, planting an orchard and hedgerow and slowly building a decorative garden around the house.

Work has also been done on the restoration of the many buildings on the property, both historic and utilitarian. The 1870’s hand-hewn shearing sheds restoration is well underway and the old Wesleyan Church, moved here from the centre of Lyonville to be a small B&B for the previous owners, has been lovingly restored and converted into a beautiful Chapel - perfect for intimate weddings, soiree’s, workshops or special events.

Animals and birds now fill the paddocks—cashmere goats, raised for their fibre, miniature white Galloway cattle to graze the pastures. Miniature Cheviot sheep and Sebastopol geese, both on the rare breed list, kept to carefully breed up the numbers. Ducks and chickens for the sheer joy of having them around.

It is a wonderful life that we live here, and we are looking forward to sharing it with you.
